Get ready to meet your
the most important muscle in the body!
The respiratory diaphragm is the main muscle of inspiration. At rest, the muscle hides out in a dome shape behind the lower ribs and as you inhale, it flattens out.
The exhale? Completely passive.
A process that that is under involuntary and voluntary control which makes it incredibly easy to trust!
Physiologically, the diaphragm affects breathing, nervous system, digestion, circulation, and detoxification.
It needs to be moving well and you need to be aware of it!
This very important muscle is innervated by the Vagus Nerve which is responsible for our rest/digest nervous system. In order to have a balanced nervous system, the diaphragm not only needs to be moving well, we need to be able to tune into it quickly in order to ground and relax.
The respiratory diaphragm is located in the solar plexus. Energetically, this area is related to sense of self. If your power has been taken away you will hold that emotional energy here, in the upper abdomen.
Metaphysically, breathing is the ability to take in life. When we hold, repress or suck in this area we are doing so in an attempt to control.
feeling of heaviness in the body,
chronic pain,
trouble taking a deep belly breath,
mental anguish and racing thoughts,
trouble sleeping,
an inability to ground and calm effectively,
an inability to “let go” of the middle of your body on all levels of your being,
AND you have not tuned into your respiratory diaphragm, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE MISSING PIECE!
First, you need to be aware that this is a nervous system issue.
Second, you need to understand that it is our nervous system that guides and supports ALL other systems in our body to transition and maintain proper regulation.
Third, you need to understand that THE KEY to the nervous system working properly for YOUR BODY is respiration.
THE BREATH IS EVERYTHING!

Hi! I'm Kate.
I am a Certified Trauma-Informed Breathwork Practitioner and I hold a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. I started Korē Breathwork back in 2021 and this business combines the beautiful modalities of breathwork + energy work with my extensive knowledge of the physical body.
The crux of the work I do with clients includes my unique process of connecting with the body, listening to its wisdom, and creating lasting change.
Guess what? This doesn't happen when a nervous system is always on high alert!
This used to be me!
I felt on high alert 24/7 and so I actively disconnected. The way my body spoke to me was through chronic fatigue, unremitting headaches, pelvic pain + debilitating anxiety..just to name a few.
Understanding the connection that my breath had on my nervous system and the truth that I had full agency and control over this, drastically changed my life! Making practice of this has been key in shifting this discomfort!
